Reinvent-tage Day 8 - Part 2

Today's Intention...There is no key to happiness...that door is always open...whether you want to step through it is your choice...

The key to happiness lies within...a true happiness that carries us beyond ourselves, with no obvious cause (good news or physical pleasure). Pure pleasure...I often see the hand of God in it...especially when I am creating...my art as prayer experiences...

Happiness in those moments of solitude...when I find that inner peace of mind...with brushes in hand...with spirit flowing through me...to a place beyond myself...

this piece began with printed tissue being glued to the canvas with gel medium...(thank you norah for the idea...when i was burnishing it, a hole developed in the upper right side...so this figure came to me as a result of that "happy" accident!!!

the second image is the painting developing...in the image below, i white washed the background to soften it...i know it needs more work, but i wanted to show you the progress on this blessed, happy monday...

"unbridled happiness"

Psalm 131, “Lord my heart has no lofty ambitions; my eyes do not look too high. I am not concerned with great affairs, or marvels beyond my scope. Enough for me to keep my soul tranquil and quiet, like a child in its mother’s arms, as content as a child that has been weaned.”
