Chipper is always smiling, always happy. She is the Muse to visit when you are down or angry or out of sorts. I have been out of sorts for the past few days.
(WARNING - This paragraph is whining. You can skip to the next one if you don't want to hear it) I am awaiting an answer to a job proposal I submitted on the 1st of this month.. It is to continue as editor of the magazine I have edited for 10 years. An acceptance will provide my income for the next year. A rejection will leave me without an income I have counted on for the past 10 years. It is a scary place to be since I have two houses (one has been on the market for about 9 months now). I am trying to let God sort it out and I know what ever happens will be exactly what is supposed to happen. But the unknowing and uncertainty is wearing on me. I put a 10 day limit on the proposal. That was last Friday and I still am waiting for an answer. I am the type of person who just wants to know the answer, good or bad. Then I can deal with it. The waiting to hear is almost unbearable for me. My stomach gets in knots, I imagine myself out on the street homeless, I do crazy things to myself. But it is a powerful decision. The results may determine moving back to my Florida house and finding a job. So it is a critical time. Enough about my proposal, I just had to get it out.

I'm hoping your answer comes in today.
If you get to SF I'd love to get together. We plan to be at the Mt. House a lot in the summer but maybe luck with be with us and I'll be in the Bay Area when you are.
Darla
Good luck with your proposal. I am impatient too and have a very hard time getting on with things when something important is hanging in the balance.
