Beautiful Women

Women in Art is a beautiful gift. To watch the faces of women who flowed from the brushes of artists throughout history is a look into the connectedness we all share. It is not so much that every face has similarities as it is how art builds upon the art that precedes it. It is not a copy or a duplication, but a growing out of sameness that connects us all.

I hope you enjoy it as much as I do...I watch it often and find new ways of seeing...and nuances that I did not see before...Since this is my year of faces...I grow as an artist with each viewing...

Today's MUSEment - plan a visit to a gallery or art museum and really take the time to study the strokes...the colors...the feelings that speak to you...

Yes, yes, I had chills when I read the title of your book, in fact, I had to go & check to make sure that's what I wrote!
I wrote it on the back of all of my new canvases, it was one of those things that I just couldn't seem to get out of my head & I had to write it out!
I have to read your book, is it available in bookstores or through Amazon?

That was spectacular!!! I see these images and instantly would love to know the story behind the muse.
When I was in NYC I was awestruck to stand before paintings I'd only seen in books or online....to see up close the brush strokes of Monet for example. So awe inspiring.
When I doodle it is often faces...I have yet to do a face with paint that speaks to me. I keep trying though.
Thank your sharing this.

Yes this is a good one. It was so creatively put together. When I first saw it I watched it 10 times. Like you I adore the image of the womans face. I never did anything in school except draw womans faces. It's been my life.
