Connection...Communication

The Twins come to play when Cre8Tiva feels of two minds. This duality is good at times when we are blessed with many thoughts and not so good in the times we feel fractured. They are always up for a brainstorming session.

I am of two minds today because I have to finish the magazine and I want to be doing something else somewhere else...

I am missing my family in Myrtle Beach. I had so little time with them. I needed much more. I begin to wonder just how quickly time goes by...very fleeting...very sneaky. It just vanishes...and years have floated by...people have grown up...or grown old...or grown away....and you a left to wonder how...

This is my favorite restaurant in beautiful Murrell's Inlet, South Carolina. Russell's is the last restaurant on the right as you drive from the north on Business 17. From the south it is the first on the right... It is a quaint local's kind of place...with about a dozen tables and a bar area. You can also eat on the large deck and in fall/winter Russell does frequent oyster roasts in the yard...I love, love, love the hush puppies with honey butter...but beware, if you start eating them, it's hard to stop...and you may not want your dinner...

This is the marsh view looking toward Garden City...that is the south end of the Grand Strand you can see in the distance...This is where the fishing and shrimp boats dock... you used to be able to come here and buy shrimp and fish straight from the boats when they docked...I am not sure you can do that anymore...again times moves on...not always to better times....

I vow to keep in closer contact with those I love...I am a bad communicator...I tend to be very solitary...I let amazing amounts of time get away from me...while those I love wait for the connection...my new passion for mail art may fix
that...
Yesterday, I received my first ever swap piece...mail art from the skirted eb at be...dream...play......oh how fun to open the mailbox and find something like this...it brightened my day....it was bulging with delights for the eye...and my new favorite tea "Passion"... thank you eb....i am a happy girl

now I must get busy with my swap mail art...communication...connection...rebecca!!!

Connection...Communication for ABC Wednesday hosted by Ms. Nesbit here...join in...

This is what was in it...
the angel cards made from drawings of some of eb's students...they made me cry with their gentle beauty...these were painted by children ages 5-12...they are my happy patsy prize for a guessing game on her blog...but they are really a happy becca prize!!! sequins and ribbons...and hearts and stars...a wonderful thing....a good thing...a fun thing...a joyful thing...

Oh WOW,
Love your treasure. That eb pegged you! Well, I'm kind of felling twin-like today myself, so you've got company. It is so hard to leave family. It is heartbreaking. I spend my life going back and forth.

Can not wait to meet your neice!! Jacqueline is my God daughter. Noelle is like my sister. I call her My Noelle. :-)

It's always fun and exciting to receive something in the mail, and something that is handmade is even better.

Aren't you off for JCCFS soon?

I love South Carolina hush puppies. Every couple of years we have a family reunion near Myrtle Beach and hushpuppies are one of the things I look forward to.

Mail swaps and surprise packages are a delightful part of blogging life. :-) (Is the Passion tea made by Tazo? That's one of my favorites too).

Yay for Mail Art. I've been away for a week and I see that I'm going to have to find out what new swaps are happening.

Glad to hear you had such a good time with your family.

oh look the sweet little angels have landed with another of their kind...
so happy that they made you happy - such fun putting together an envie of yummies -

ps: the angel cards are repros of 40x60" paintings - I traced each student on the large mat board and then they recreated themselves...

now back to the beach with you...
