From One Tiny Link...

I want to share with you some more of my beautiful island home. In the local cemetery stands this magnificent angel...at attention guarding all who enter...or pass by...I pass her on the way to and from church...and I always feel some connection...

The sermon at church this morning was about faith...Abraham and Sarah's faith. They stepped out, with no idea where they were going...all they had was faith.

Don't we step out each day with our blogs? With faith that we will make some connection...I am but a tiny link in a chain, a bond of connection between persons I have never met...and may never meet, except through my computer screen....

In a short amount of time I have formed an ever-widening chain of acquaintances...who are becoming friends I care about...whom I look forward to communicating with each day...whom I miss when I am busy with my life...whom I pray for...and cry with...and celebrate with...

I put my thoughts out each day and trust that they will reach the right ears and touch the right heart...and make a difference...somehow...

This is the same faith connection I have with my students...I have them for such a short time...and in that time I must believe that I can plant seeds that I most probably will never see harvested...but I have faith that there will be a harvest nonetheless...

God created me to do some definite service for Him...He has committed some job to me which he has not committed to another soul before me or to come...I have a mission and I may never know it in this life...and it just may be the connection...this tiny link I form with you...

Today's aMUSEment - think about the links you form with others you touch throughout your life...make a point of smiling or acknowledging people whose lives you touch this week. Make a connection. Then bring that connection into your heart and you art this week...

Service to others is the entire journey, the more you serve, the better you feel!

I am supposed to doing art but I had to stop and read and then comment....as this was beautiful. Another blogging friend, someone I treasure, calls it Soul Seeds(her original words). The gist being that many packets were spread through the Universe and our soul seeds sought one another to grow together. I love that idea. We, as humans, form connections while giving us the privilege of watching one another flourish by serving inspiration, kindness, strength and understanding. Therefore we all have a significant purpose whether we realize it or not. I am delighted our "Soul Seeds" have crossed.

Your thoughtfulness is a sweet service, and I am glad our paths have crossed.
